100 Day Hustle Halfway Point

Kelsey Sews

We're at the halfway point of the the 100 Day Hustle!   Well, we will be on the 11th.  If you've been joining in with the Hustle, you have until November 11th to link up your Halfway Point post, so let us know what you've achieved.  Or, if you're like me, what you have completely failed to achieve!
So, shall we have a little recap on what I said I'd do and whether I've done it?

1. Chair cushions for mum, not even started. I haven't even taken the fabric out of the bag! - Progress on this one!  I've taken the fabric out of the bag and put it on the sofa and I've orderd some zips.  What?  That's not progress?  OK then...

2. Finish the 2 tea wallets I started before Mother's Day! - Erm... nope.

3. Make a second quilt for Jacob - and no again.

4. A new handbag for me. Much as I love the one I have, I'd like one with a top zip - Yep, no I haven't done this

5. Finish the crochet toy I'm making for Jacob - no information as I don't want to spoil the surprise - a very tiny amount of progress.  1 part of the 5 part toy is completed!

6. The bathroom curtain! - and we're back to no again!

7. Items for the craft fair

  • Note book covers - no
  • Purses - yes!  I've made 8
  • Bags - another no
  • Bookmarks - and another
  • Brooches - more nos
  • Jewellery - and a yes!  I've made some peyote star necklaces
  • Flowers - another yes, I've made 20
  • Tea towels - and I think we'll finish on a no.

Hmmm.  Not exactly an overwhelming success.  I'm going to stick with this list, but I am going to change the craft fair bit as I have a proper plan in place (sort of...), so my new list is as follows:

1. Chair cushions for mum, not even started.

2. Finish the 2 tea wallets I started before Mother's Day!

3. Make a second quilt for Jacob

4. A new handbag for me. Much as I love the one I have, I'd like one with a top zip - Yep, no I haven't done this I really don't have time to get this done

4. Finish the crochet toy I'm making for Jacob

5. The bathroom curtain!

6. Items for the craft fair

  • 8 Purses - done
  • 20 pieces of Jewellery
  • 20 Flowers - done
  • 8 Key fobs - done (but not blogged yet)
  • 10 crochet snowflakes
  • 10 felt Christmas decorations
  • 30 candles
  • 10 pouches
  • 10 dummy tags and pouches
  • 10 bibs
  • 8 bear hats
  • 10 tissue pouches
  • 3 advent calendars
  • 8 sets of magnets
  • 10 lavendar sachets
Yep, that list is 3 times as long and I have just 4 weeks until the craft fair... stay tuned for my 100 Day Hustle results post and a big fat failure!

  3. Still you've done a ton of crafts! Good luck getting ready for your craft show. Mine's tomorrow and I am so stressed that I don't have enough stuff to sell, yet I know it's more than last year.

  5. Do what I do. Make something that isn't on your list just because you want to do it, then add it to the list and cross it off - very satisfying!!! ;)
