Something Old, Something New and the 2014 Finish Along

I'm joining in with two challenges this year.  OK, so I'm joining in with a few more than that, but these are the two where I need to link up what I propose to do.

Finish Along 2014

For the Finish Along I have 7 projects that I propose to complete before the end of March:

1. Restart and finish Crewel Flowers

2. Finish hooking my rug

3.  Finish Jacob's quilt.  So far I have cut 16 squares so a long way to go with that one!

4. Sew chair cushions for my dining room.  I have completed 1 piece of patchwork for 1 chair and now I've lost it...

5. Handquilt/machine quilt my And Sew On quilt.

6. Finish the wrist warmers I'm crocheting.

7. Cross stitch the last Silhouettes picture for my dad.

If you want to join in, you have until the 17th January to link up your list.

Never too hot to Stitch!

For Something Old, Something New, I only have 1 month, but only 2 projects.

My Something Old is the crewel flowers.  I don't intend to finish it in January, but at least make some progress.  See photo above

My Something New is this little ribbon flower kit.  Should be achievable. I can't find it to take a photo.  So that will be a double pronged challenge - find the kit and then make it!

If you want to join in, you can link up here.

  1. That's a tall order to finish by March! Good luck with all of that. I always think stitching isn't going to take that long and am always surprised that it does.

  3. Good luck with your challenges - that's a good variety of craft there so I'll be very interested in seeing your progress! Maybe your latch hook flag will be the thing that finally makes me finish my two latch hooks that are nearly done... :)

  17. Hmmm - I remember when you sewed that cushion for your chair - I think it was a long time ago, and I think... you didn't enjoy doing it so much.... if I remember rightly???? Perhaps you've hid it on yourself!
