A huge surprise

Morning ladies!  First of all, my computer has a virus and is at my dad's being fixed.  I do have internet access at work, but I can't spend all day on it!  It does mean I might not make it round your blogs or respond to emails for a while, then I'll be all behind... just don't hate me!

Anyway, you know you've heard me chirping on and on The Bead Shop Nottingha where I do all my jewellery classes?  Well, last weekend they organised a bead fair at a local hotel.  There were various stalls where I spent quite a lot of money and some mini workshops.  There was also a jewellery making competition which the attendees voted anonymously for.  I'd submitted two pieces, but had no hope of winning as the other entries were incredible - there was some amazing bead weaving there.

I submitted my crystal twist necklace and bracelet

and my brick stitch brooch

Guess what?  My crystal flower necklace and bracelet came second!  I nearly died of shock!

It's day 3 of the UR Priceless blog hop today, hosted by the lovely Katherine. Go and visit the participants, there's a chance to win a price with each comment you leave! Click the button above to see the prizes and the full line up.  I posted yesterday, if you missed it, scroll down!
