Why i am an idiot...

So I haven't been blogging much recently and I've just dropped by to let you know that I likely won't be blogging at all dor the next 8 weeks or so.

I fell over on Saturday and broke my arm! It's my right arm (luckily I'm a leftie) and it's broken right at the top just under the shoulder. That means no cast, just a sling. It is very painful and all the little every day things are so hard to do with one arm.

Silly, silly Wendy!

  5. Oh no! I fell and broke my right wrist last year and I know how inconvenient a broken arm bone can be. My friend in the US sent me some individual dental floss things and they were the best! You just don't realize how many things you need two arms for. Hope you heal quickly!

  6. Oh my, how bad that this has happened. I hope that the pain can be reduced by a pain medication and that your arm will heal steadily.

  9. So sorry about your arm! Hope it heals quickly. But I regret to tell you that breaking an arm does not qualify you as an Idiot, a very select status which I myself may have attained. You have proved only that you are human! Feel better soon.

  10. Oh no, that sounds painful. I hope this doesn't mean no crafting at all, that will drive you crazy! Well, takes things easy and give it a chance to heal and let's hope that's sooner than predicted. Best wishes Irene xx

  11. Ouch. My sympathies. I've only had a shoulder problem, and even that has interfered considerably!

  14. how painful that must be, at least you are left handed but all the same you will be so restricted can imagine a certain piece of underwear will be difficult to put on. I do hope the pain soon easies as your arm starts to mend and you are able to sleep comfortably. Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  18. Oh dear. I broke my left humerus not quite 4 years ago and it took 13 weeks to heal. I do hope you have someone to help you, at times, as having a little child means life is interesting having full mobility without movement penalties :(. Wishing you a speedy, not too inconvenient, recovery. P.S. - Arnica cream and Arnica salts(tablets) definitely helped me with pain, instead of resorting to painkillers all the time.
    Cheers xo

  25. Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about your arm. I did the same thing about 2 years ago. Please grit your teeth and do your exercises to get it back in action again, it's worth it in the long run.
