I've been so rubbish at posting lately! I blame Christmas, Santa, it's all your fault. I've got a couple of photos to show you, I finished the cross stitch I was doing for my dad, but that's about it.
I did go to a bead class last week but I still haven't taken photos. I'll try and post at the weekend, but that will be it for before Christmas. Between Christmas and New Year I'm writing a post about what's on in blogland and I need your help! Let me know anything that should be included, it can be any craft - year-long challenges, shorter challenges, Quilt/Crochet/Sew/Whatever-alongs, block of the months, specific linky parties (i.e. not just a general link up what you've made linky), anything at all! Please leave me a comment or drop me an email.
So, here's the cross stitch I finished.
This is from the Silhouttes range by Heritage Crafts and this is The Oast Houses. My dad loves his real ale so this was very suitable. It matches the one I made for his birthday which you can see here.
and yes, I do have another one planned, probably for Father's day!

Ah yes....the famous oasthouses of Kent. Kent Goldings hops are quite good. I'm not a beer drinker but I used to belong to a homebrew club back in California so I learned a lot about it!
Très "vintage" et joli !
Bises et bonnes Fêtes de Fin d'Année !

Nice cross-stitch - your dad will be happy with his set :)
I know something that's going on in blogland - the lovely Karen @ Sew Much 2 Luv (sewmuch2luv.blogspot.com) is hosting an After Christmas Sew Along 2014 - it's posted to her blog - I'm joining, and have prepared some projects to work on during the "Along" :)
This is full-swing Christmas prep time for so many - I'm surprised when anybody has the time to post any more than sporadically, lol.
cross stitch is very nice, not a technique I ever mastered found I got both cross eyed and cross trying to follow the charts!
Look forward to seeing what you are going to be telling us about on your next blog about what is happening in blogland
Your Dad will love the cross stitch - will you be framing it or something else?
Your cross stitching is just lovely! Hope Santa lets you settle down soon! Happy Christmas :-)
Pretty. It's cool that you are doing whole series for your dad.
Very nicely stitching and I have never heard of oast houses before.
Nice stitching, it is always hard to find nice cross stitch charts for men I think.
Will be continuing the New to Me Link party on the 25th of each month in 2014, so add it to your list :)
Oh boy!! Blaming Santa for anything around this time of year is not a good move!!! lol. Good on you for not giving up!! Lovely stitching.
Cheers, Anita.
It's fab! I have never heard of oast houses and had to google to find out about them (thank you! I always love to learn something new).
