Sunday Stash

Looking for my Grow Your Blog Post?

It's here.

I'm linking up to Sunday Stash with Molli as I did a bit of accidental fabric buying.

Molli Sparkles

I went to John Lewis for some embroidery thread (and was surprised to discover they don't sell DMC).  Of course, I had to have a quick look at the fabric, and what did I find?

Bunnies!

Not just bunnies but bunnies with umbrellas and bunnies riding bicycles!  These are FreeSpirit Playdate Wheels and FreeSpirit Playdate Clouds.  Can't believe I missed them before.

Goodness, I don't think our John Lewis has interesting prints like that. I must go and check them out to see whether the range has improved!

HAHA the blue fox on the bike is totally adorable!

I started keeping track this month of my crafty purchases (well, I didn't keep track of most of my ebay purchases, but that's because I didn't want to incriminate myself, LOL) - apparently I accidentally bought just over 50m of fabric. OOPS! I blame Nancy for part of it - we kept on visiting the quilt store (which is 1 minute away from where we do aquafitness) because they were having a major sale all month - it proved too much for us to resist, quite a few times :D Then there was the 50% off sale at our local fabric store ... and free shipping for Canada @ connectingthreads.com ... and a fabric shopping trip to Buffalo - and have you checked grosgrain ribbon on ebay? A PITTANCE! The amount of ribbon I bought is in the triple digits. All in all it was a stash-enhancing month! I also kept track of roughly how much fabric and craft supplies I used up - let's just say that the outgoing was only a fraction of the incoming, LOL. I think it was about 15m of fabric, 15 zippers, 15mm of ribbon, and 20m of rattail - give or take. Oh well - if I do this poorly in February I'll just stop keeping track - LOL!

I deliberately steer clear of JL for this reason- apparently they have half price Hadley by Denyse Schmidt at the moment!!
