I'm still sewing along with the 3-weekly SAL (ladies, I think we need a name for this SAL!), but having finished the Viennese Waltz, I'm picking up an old WIP. Back in 2013/2014 I was stitching along with Mabel Figworthy's Fancies Song of the Weather SAL. This was a SAL which I was doing as 2 pieces, each 2 x 3 blocks. I completed January to June, then started on the next one, intending to go back and sash the first when I'd finished. That never happened as I only got as far as September. This is July - September.
I finished that in September 2014, you can see my last blog post here. For the SAL I'm going to finish October to December, then I'm going to sash between the blocks with a Hardanger design from one of my books. I'll pick up January-June as my next SAL project.
Wish me luck!
I'm sewing along as part of a SAL, you can go and see what the other participants have been up to here:
Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, LucyAnn, Kate, Cathy, Jess, Sue, Constanze

Good luck! This looks like a piece of work that'll be well worth finishing, and I so admire your patience – hardanger scares me to bits for fear of making a mistake with the cutting, whereas simple stitching just needs to be 'unstitched'.

these are really gorgeous
I used to do this enmbroidery with my Granny - thank you for the memory!
Lovely!! Nice to see something else than cross stitches :)
Beautiful Hardanger
Ah, that looks familiar. I started doing that myself but got distracted somewhere around July and it's been languishing in the unfinished drawer ever since. I rather like doing Hardanger, and yours looks fab. It's so neat :)
Can't wait to see the sashing.
This is beautiful! I'm also a bit scared of Hardanger so I'm watching with interest :-)
I haven't seen any hardanger work in a long time. Of course that could be because I haven't made an effort to find any. Nevertheless, it's a pleasure to see yours. Such a lot of beautiful work!
My favourite technique these are so lovely time I did some more hardanger, no excuse as have loads of 25 count even weave, used to do 28 but eyes not to good these days.
Oh I remember this, look forward to watching your progress
These are beautiful. Good luck with getting them finished :)
Interesting and unusual Hardanger designs.
Delightful - and they are unusual, aren't they!
Beautiful work Wendy, I´m doing Mabel´s Round in Circles SAL.
