paper piecing paper piecing

I have been paper piecing paper piecing.  Nope, not repeating myself there.  The lovely East Midlands group of quilters who are modern is entering a quilt into the Festival of Quilts again this year.  I can't disclose what it will be, but I can show you my contribution.

It is, of course paper pieced.  I used Quiet Play's Just My Type alphabet to piece it.  We were each given a dimension that we had to fit into, luckily my size meant that I didn't have to increase or decrease the letters at all, so I'm pretty pleased I didn't have to fight the work photocopier whilst pretending that I was photocopying important work documents and not sewing patterns!

I know.  My hashtag is pretty crap.

But I'm quite pleased with the rest of it!

It looks great Wendy! I hope you'll show us the whole project once everybody has done their part (and probably only after the show)!

Yes, it's turned out well. Was the hash the first section you did?

Oh no yours is a thousand times better than mine - I am going to want to redo it aren't I?! Brilliant.

And the reason you can't show the quilt plan is because I've not put the top together yet to photograph, yeah? :)

I'm unfortunately going to miss the Festival of Quilts yet again this year... we always seem to be away on holiday. But please share a pic of your group's entry once it's all done :-)
Have a happy week,
xx

That came out great! I can tell it must have been tedious as paperpiecing is.

No your hashtag is great. As is "paper piecing". You have to admit your opening sentence is a lot of fun!

I have yet to do any paper pieceing myself but your paper piecing looks great! Ha - good to know that I'm not the only one who has photocopied patterns at work :)

I love this!!! What are your plans for this? i am tempted to make one, quilt and bind it and just hang it in my sewing space! The hashtag is so much fun--it takes the whole sentiment to a new level!
