I added the grape hyacinths to the right of the blue flowers. The pattern showed 5, each made of a one-wrap French knot. Five was tiny so I added quite a few more.
I then added the hollyhocks. I'm not so pleased with them. I didn't leave enough room, they're not tall enough and the lower petals are too long. Unfortunately, silk ribbon embroidery doesn't like being unpicked, so they've stayed!
It has now joined my gallery wall of embroidery hoops next to my computer. I did take a photo of that, but alas, my computer has stolen it!

That's pretty wendy. It's great for a first try at the embroidery. Hope to see a picture of your hoop wall with all your work.
You need to speak very seriously to that computer of yours - I should love to see this with all its friends!
This is a really pretty addition to your embroidery hoop art! Love the look of silk ribbon embroidery and your stitches are lovely. Christine x
Very nice! You make me want to work on my own ribbon embroidery piece. Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to work on it :)
What a beautiful silk ribbon embroidery piece! Lovely!
For a first time effort you've done very well with your silk ribbon embroidery. You'll only get better if you keep it up! I love the idea of a gallery of stitchery hoops; hope you can get your computer to cough up those pictures sooner rather than later!
Ribbon embroidery is awesome - yours is very pretty! Try to get your computer to behave so we can see the embroidery hoop gallery, lol!
