Oh yum. See that? That's my lovely cushion. I made that. And I took that psuedo-artistic shot on my weather-beaten garden bench in the brief few days of sunny weather we had before it started raining torrentially. Again.
Ooooh! Do you see that? See its loveliness? I love it. I made it up all by myself. Well clearly not the pattern for the squares as that was just a basic solid square. But the pattern for the cushion.
The back and the front are the same. There's no fancy zip or envelope closure as I simply put the cushion inside and sewed it up around it. I mean, let's face it. I've never washed a cushion cover in my life and it's unlikely I'll start now. Anyway, no-one's allowed to touch it, it's for looking at only, preferably with a silly grin on your face. Have you got a silly grin on your face? No, well pretend to at least!
I love you Mr Cushion.
p.s. I've just signed up for a workshop in Spinning using a drop spindle on November 6th. If you live in the Nottingham area, check it out here. Let me know if you are going to attend! They also have loads of knitting and crochet courses. It's a yarn shop that I didn't even know existed! Yay for yarn shops in Nottingham, now we just need a fabric shop....

WOW!! I LOVE that pillow! You did an amazing job on it! I love how fresh the white is and how the colors just POP!
Well Done!
It's adorable and I'm with you on washing - sew 'er up!
I am a basic knitter but i love yarn - what is it about textiles and threads and such? I can't seem to get enough of it!!
Good yarn shops are hard to find out of the larger cities and I keep telling my husband that when we do get to England in a couple of years, I will definitely be bringing an extra suitcase!
LOVE it.... hehehe, too cute for words, Wendy. :)
Gorgeous - you did a wonderful job! Such a happy pillow cover, Wendy!
It's brilliant! You have every right to wear a silly grin when looking at your gorgeous handiwork (I wear the same grin from time to time here ;o).
Beautiful. I'm just learning to crochet and love looking at new crochet ideas. If you have a moment, I would be thrilled if you shared this project on my Inspiration Board {link party}.

Oh so cool! You signed up for a spinning class. Caution it seems to be a bit addictive. The closest yarn shop to my home is 45 minutes away and I seem to be in need of some wool to spin for the third time already. Super excited for you. Hope you find some locals to sign up with you. Probably even more fun when you have some yarning friends to join you. The cushion looks amazing. All rainbowie and fabulous! Working on a little granny square project myself right now. Wishing you a happy week Wednesday! :)
This is so pretty and would go splendidly with the blanket I've just finished!
beautiful is the word!
Love, love, love this and am adding it to my Pinterest pillow board.
