What I'm working on

I mentioned in my last post that we'd had a meet up of the EMMQG.  After the show-and-tell, talk from a lady from the Quilt Guild and lunch, we had time for a bit of sewing.  I'd taken along the hexie block from the Skill Builder BOM to do.  Sitting outside in the sunshine, having a good old natter, I got LOADS done.

Yep, 13 hexies basted.  I sew like the wind, me.  I'm also working on a dinky little cross stitch.  It was a cover gift with CrossStitcher and one evening, not feeling very well, I wanted something mindless to do, so out it came.

Stitching it again on another evening I starting thinking of challenging myself to stitch all the cover gift kits I have, it could be a new list... NO WENDY, do not go there!  Sorry to disappoint Fiona but I can't give myself any more challenges or lists, I already have this one and this one, not to mention this one!

Maybe you should make a list of the lists you have?

Hi Wendy,
Everyone is making hexies at the moment!!! Don't blame them.....I just love hexies, they're cute.
Cheers, Anita.

You are doing cross stitch without a hoop? Wow!

What, you are passing up an opportunity to create a new list?? Are you feeling alright??

Just how many cover gift kits do you have? I am sure I have some too, if you are short :)

lol, you'll be needing a list of your lists soon. It's nice to have a bit of mindless stitching to do when you feel like that, getting something good at the end of it is a bonus. Hope you get a good weekend

Tacking hexie's is what I do when I need something mindless! The stitch looks sweet and I keep thinking the same about a cover kit challenge and then realising just what a huge undertaking that would be as I have probably 30 or 40 in the box.

hexies are a great project to take to work on away from home.
