Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day

    Giveaway is now closed

Hello and welcome!  If you are visiting from Sew, Mama, Sew, then I'm very happy to have you and I wont keep you long.

I entered all the giveaways on the last giveaway day but didn't win anything.  I have, however, won loads of stuff since then so I felt it was my turn to give something away.

So, down to the bit we're all really interested in - what am I giving away?  Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...

Tilda!  I know it's hard to get in some countries so I hope you like it.  Now, I must apologise for the small amount here.  There are 4 fat eighths, 3 of them in the latest design, just released.  I would have loved to give away a fat quarter bundle, but the price of fabric in the UK is horrifying.  We pay about $16 for a metre of Moda and an incredible $29 (£18) for a metre of Tilda.  Not cheap!  However, these fat eights are metric so you will get more than you get in a fat eighth from the States or Canada.  Australians, you're with us on the metric I think?

Anyway, stop waffling.  So, what do you have to do?  Not much.  First of all, please DO NOT follow me.  I don't get all this "follow me to win" business.  I want people to follow me because they enjoy reading my blog and seeing what I've messed up recently.  I will notify the winner by email, so there is no need to follow.  Having said that, I'd love it if you bookmarked me and came back next week, or next month, when the giveaway day and catching up on your blogs etc is all done.  Then if you want to follow, I'd love to have you.

So, in order to win the fabric, please leave me a comment below and answer the following questions:

1. Which crafts have you tried?
2. Which crafts do you regularly do?
3. Which crafts would you like to try?

Answer the three questions in ONE COMMENT.

Please make sure that if your blog isn't linked to your email (never recieved an email reply to a comment you've left on someone's blog?  You're not linked) you leave your email address in your comment.  If you don't want the spambots to get you write it like this:
myemailaddress (at) wherever (dot) whatever

I will post internationally.

1 comment per person please.

Entries close on 10am on May 26th (UK time.  No idea what time that is elsewhere, but it gives you a while!).  I'll chose a winner on the 27th.  Or maybe even the 26th if I get over-excited which is likely.

I'll use that random number chooser thingy to choose a winner if I can figure out how.

Go ladies, go!

And if you have no idea what this Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Business is, then pop over to the blog to see hundreds of other giveaways.

Hi Wendy, nice to meet you :-)
I've tried loads of different crafts! Crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, candle making, basket weaving, rag rug making, glass jewellery, beading, flower pressing, card making, quilting.....
The ones I do regularly are knitting, cross stitch, card making and I'm starting to really get into quilting.
I would love to try my hand at some form of woodwork, I used to really enjoy it at school.
Thanks for the chance to win :-)

1) I have a slight craft addiction, and love to try new things -- from macrame in the 70' to jewelry making in this decade! 2)But I always come back to sewing and knitting -- they just make my life more peaceful, you know? and 3) I am really interesting in learning to weave, and have dreams of a big loom in my living room!
Thanks for sharing this fun time!

1. I've tried knitting, crocheting, bobbin lace, quilting, sewing, weaving, macrame, cross stitching and pottery making. And I've made a few stitch markers for knitting.
2. I regularly knit, crochet and sew.
3. I don't know if I want to try something new! I have enough unfinished crafts. Ok maybe spinning. But just to see what it's like.

I have tried many crafts, beaded ornaments, cross stitch and crewel work. Right now my favorite is quilting. I would like to try knitting and crochet some day once I am done with some of my other projects.

Zoe said...

I'm a brand new quilter, and a slightly less-new knitter. I'm hoping to try my hand at crochet and embroidery soon, though!

Femke said...

Tilda is also very expensive here in the Netherlands.

1. Which crafts have you tried?
I have tried paper crafts, flower arranging, painting and sewing.

2. Which crafts do you regularly do?
At the moment I'm learning to sew, and I'm liking it very much. So far I've tried pillowcases and tablerunners (soon I will have some for every mood, haha!), but when I feel ready I also want to tackle making clothes for myself and -hopefully- in the future for my children.

3. Which crafts would you like to try?
"Updating" thrift store finds. I love looking at all the great ideas floating around on the internet.

Morning, thanks for the great giveaway.

I've crafted for quite some time and have tried

- sewing, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking and a few odds and ends things with the kids.
- I still like to try everything, but have dropped the knitting which I may take up again.
- I would love to try quilting

1. Started with knitting and cross stitch. And of course sewing :)
2. Sewing and quilting is my obsession.
3. Long arm quilting :)

I have tried just about everything fabric related. Quilting, knitting, embriodery, simple clothing (PJ pants), home decor. I do crafts all the time. I also host a monthly craft night at my house with 3 other ladies. I would like to try smocking. My friend does it, and could teach me. But following a pattern is not my strong point (I'm a figure it out as you go kind of girl.)

Thanks for the giveaway!

I have tried sewing, knitting, scrapbooks, painting, and numerous other things. I still love to sew clothes and quilts and occasionally still paint. I would love to learn how to make stained glass.

Karyn said...

My list is as jumbled as my crafting area....I've collected some of the "things" needed to try a new craft, but haven't actually TRIED it yet.....

I've dabbled in lots of mediums (sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, painting, beading, mixed media, mosaics, tile, woodworking, glass, ceramics, pottery, clay (I'm sure there is SO much more)...metal work. It's fun to explore!

Currently, I'm trying to stay in my fabric room. I sneak over to the "wet" craft area once in a while to steal some embellishing materials.....

I just want to live long enough to have at least tried all the cool things I've seen!

Canadian here, we do purchase fabric by the meter, same as you. We use kilometers instead of miles as well.

1. Which crafts have you tried?

A better question might be, which crafts haven't I tried? Sewing, knitting, crochet, paper crafts, the list goes on! My Mom used to run a craft camp at church every summer!

2. Which crafts do you regularly do?

Sewing garments and now just starting quilts. I guess gardening really isn't a craft... it should be!

3. Which crafts would you like to try?

Since I'm still in the planning stages and amassing fabric, I'm going to say quilting because I haven't actually made one yet. Do place mats and pot holders count?

Cheers!

1. Which crafts have you tried? I think I may have tried everything under the sun. My Grandma gave me a Martha Stewart craft book when I was just a gal, and I tried a lot of it. Ribbon embroidery, sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, scrapping, cardmaking, woodworking, jewelry, ceramics, etc.

2. Which crafts do you regularly do? I mostly sew clothing and crafts. I like to quilt, too, but it always strikes me as such a huge undertaking, so I only do it a few times a year!!
3. Which crafts would you like to try? I would love to try glass-blowing and metal work. Also tatting.

What a generous giveaway ...

Well, for your questions. I have tried quite a few crafts. I am just naming some here ... I have done "rug making" when I was younger. I went to pottery classes. Also I made quite a few things out of wood when I was a kid.

I am regularly sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, making things with polymer clay ...

I would really like to get into quilting. I think I would like to get into stamping ... and maybe stamp making ... Maybe more paper crafts as well?

There is quite many crafts I love and I would like to try. Maybe too many? ;-)

Thanks for this awesome giveaway!
Come on over to enter mine if you like. You can win some costum-made buttons. :-)

Love Ms Muffin
