Remember I finished the Mackintosh cross stitch?
Well I've finally made it into a cushion. For once, it wasn't my procrastinating that held me up, it was finding the fabrics. I don't have a LQS so I have to rely on buying fabric online. This isn't usually a problem, but it is when I need to match colours and I needed to match the colours in this cross stitch. I decided to ask an online shop to help and so approached one. I never got a reply! Not even a "no I don't want to help you", just silence! Well, you've lost a customer then. I then tried Backstitch - same thing! Another shop off my list. I then tried yet another shop, can't remember the name but I don't really feel like promoting them anyway, and guess what? They never replied to me! I was getting a bit disgusted with the customer service and running out of hope, when one of my bloggy friends suggested The Eternal Maker.
You can probably guess from the link to their shop I've included there that I got success? Well yes, I did. Anna from The Eternal Maker was incredibly helpful and even bought two new colours in just for me! The Eternal Maker is my new go to shop and you should too! Thanks Anna, much appreciated.
So I finished the cushion in about half an hour (thanks to The Eternal Maker ), with a simple envelope closure. Now, this is a present for my mum. Who doesn't like cushions... does that seem crazy? Well she does own two cushions, so I've decided she can have a third! Maybe she'll learn to love them...
P.S. have you tried The Eternal Maker ? They're brilliant.

Wow it's brilliant. I make everything into cushions but at least that way it's out on display. All those hours that must have taken, glad you've put it to good use.

Job well done - the cushion is lovely - I'm sure your mum will love cushions again when she receives this gift.
Can not believe the bad customer service you received. At least you found somewhere in the end and thank you for the link.
Have a great weekend!

Your cushion looks beautiful - I love the border on the front. I would have just put the backing on with no border and made a smaller cushion but your way looks so much better.
I can't believe anyone doesn't like cushions!! I'm drowning in cushions at my house :o)
Have a lovely weekend xx
PS. One of my friends is friends with the Eternal Maker and has recommended her before to me - good to know that you got such good service from them!
oh, so lovely!
This is a lovely cushion, Wendy! Well done. Too bad about the customer service. I am experiencing the same thing. I will be using the phone on Monday to try and get it cleared up.
Well at least you found out that their (the first 3 companies you checked with) customer service is non-existent BEFORE you ordered from them! The pillow is gorgeous - the fabrics from Anna are perfect with your stitchery :D
Wow, they never replied? Amazing. I'm so glad you found someone helpful! That cushion is just perfectly gorgeous, girl. I know your mum will be thrilled.
Got your lovely Christmas card today, sweetie, thank you so much!!!
The cushion is lovely, and you're right The Eternal Maker are really helpful. I just wish it was my LQS although I doubt my Hubby would be too happy ;)
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Oh wow, it's gorgeous!! Great job!
A beautiful cushion!!! I love how you put the purple border around the cross stitch...

Hi, I would just like to say I found your page via google and just love the design that you have featured on this page. I love Rennie Mackintosh designs and this one is just beautiful. Can I ask where you found the design please? I've been looking for it online but can only find your page.
