Phew, what a week I've been having! I was intending to post yesterday but I just didn't get a chance as I've been with Tunisian colleagues for the last two days, translating french and talking about technical things I don't understand... in french!
I thought I'd better pop in with a quick post before you all forget that I even exist. I have no progress on my cross stitch, giant doily rug, bean bags (I found them!) or Zakka Style SAL to show you as I haven't done any work on them all week, but I do have a little project to show you which is also a LANT.
My lovely friend Nancy sent me a kit to make the above a little while ago. Whilst feverishly searching for the bean bags I'd lost, I came across it in a basket and decided to make it up. I thought it would be quick, but it actually took a while because I kept missing it up. This is the first time I've cross-stitched on perforated paper and the first time I've done beaded cross stitch. Most of the cross stitch was done with all 6 strands of thread and after having done the middle portion of the fence, I knew I wouldn't have enough thread left. That's because it was supposed to be a half-cross, not a whole one. Then I put the grass in and nothing lined up. I'd counted wrong. Basically, I stitched all this and then unpicked it and stitched it again, just in sections!
Love the cute little rabbit button though. This will be my WIP list... It's going to be full very soon!

This is such a lovely project! I wish there were some lazy days for me ... desperately.. :)
I hope the sun starts shining soon!
I hate it when life gets in the way of crafting - I know my priorities! ;)
Cute LANT project -- I know people do it, but I just can't see how you can XS on paper without shredding the paper - it boggles the mind! And having to rip out stitches on paper must be an exercise in frustration??!! Love the beads - I've added them on XS projects too!
aaarrggh - frustrating! looks beautiful in the end though. i like the idea of cross stitch on perforated paper and I've not seen it done with beads before. Cute :-)
Have a lovely weekend xx
Lovely little project... adn you are so patient to do those tiny little stitches....

Hey, I recognize that little notebook. It is a bit tricky to stitch on paper, but the beads make a cool lighting effect. Sorry there was unpicking involved, but you are right, the bunny is adorable. Did you find the bean bags?
ooops! I just read that you found the bean bags...it is not as though your blog is in French ... I am just highly distracted...
That's so cute! And how funny, I just titled my latest post "lazy days", lol.
