Why I'm not doing much making...

I know my blog posting has become a lot less frequent recently.  That's because I haven't been making much - other than at my weekly silversmithing class and any other craft classes I go to.  I thought I'd show you the reason why.  My craft studio was always on the top floor of my house.  My lodger now resides in that room and I'm in the process of decorating a room on the 1st floor (middle floor) for my studio.  It's taking forever as I work full time and enjoy my free time too much to spend it all decorating!

This is how my craft stash currently looks:

I am actually itching now to get the room done and unpack my stash so I can get making!  I still have quite a way to go though!  I must be the world's slowest decorator....

Oh dear. You have my sympathy. My supplies are all over the house, and before I start something I always have to spend time trying to remember where to look for what I need!
And as you say - a life composed entirely of Work, Sleep, and Decorating is not really what any of us signed up for!

Oooo, I'm jealous you get to organize all that! I know, weird. Most people would rather get to the making, but I love sorting and finding places for things.

It's great that you are at least able to find another space. I know what you mean about not wanting to spend your free time organizing a room. I'd rather be stitching. But sometimes you gotta do it.

Sure that with time and a little patience you will be able to mount a beautiful craft room, neat and to your liking.
Much encouragement!😊

It’s lovely that you are going to your craft classes, and yes, it’s a pain searching for things when you want to make something, but I guess your craft room will have to wait for now! Do you do the lottery? I’d you won you could get someone else to do it for you!
Hugs,

Goodness Wendy, a lot of work to undertake when you are working full time. Just think how wonderful this room is going to be and how everything will look when sorted out and in order. Wish I had a sewing room and didn´t have to tidy up the dining room table everytime I do some sewing. hugs.

Don't worry, I think that many of us can understand you! We keep a lot of things for our leisure activities and when we need to change our rooms (or houses as it is currently my case), we are rapidly overwhelmed by piles of "stash" and we need time to rearrange it all. But with a little patience you will soon enjoy a pleasant place where you will be able to give free rein to your creativity!
Have a lovely weekend! XX

There are never enough hours in the day to get everything done that we want. Good luck!

Nice looking shelving unit. I envy you having a craft room. My stash is in the basement...it's huge and probably too much even if I had a craft room. But, a craft room always sounds so cozy. Good luck getting everything put together and organized.

There never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done, does there? It will be nice once you get everything in the right place, but as long as your enjoying your classes etc, it can wait!

Popping back in again, as I make my blog rounds. How's the room coming along? I sorta relate in that I am still restricted to what yarn I have here upstairs to work with, can't get to my stash...you're restricted to what you can get to until you get your room organized.
